Welcome to Cabugao!

Cabugao is a small barangay located in the municipality of Ivisan in Capiz. Its name means "Suha" or"Grapefruit" in english. As told by my father, this fruit was so abundant from way back that even children made fun of it whenever they play baseball.

Back in late 60s, locals from other barangay come to Cabugao to wash their clothes in Inalan Falls. The water were from the top of the mountain. Today, the falls lost its natural water. A dam was made to supply water across some other neighbor towns.

During those times as well, there were no schools in other barangay thus parents send their children to Cabugao Elementary School which was built during the 50s.
Unfortunately since this small town is far from the capital city, improvement was not much of a word to local people. Even the roads didn't change much since my mom and dad were kids.

This blog was built to share to the rest of the world the simple life in our little town. We hope too that someday in God's time, government projects to better improve Cabugao for the people's welfare will reach this small community.
